    Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) mostly exists in the intestines of humans and animals. The bacterial taxonomy belongs to the genus Lactobacillus and subspecies rhamnosus. It is an anaerobic, acid-resistant, non-spore-producing Gram Positive probiotics. Lactobacillus rhamnosus cannot utilize lactose and can ferment a variety of monosaccharides (glucose, arabinose, maltose, etc.). Most strains can produce a small amount of soluble ammonia, but do not produce indole and hydrogen sulfide. It is acid-resistant and bile-resistant.
