Product Usage
Four-arm polyethylene glycol succinimide succinate (4-arm PEG-SS) is a multi-arm PEG derivative with amine at each end of the 4 arms connected to a pentaerythritol core. It features an imide NHS active ester group. 4-arm PEG-SS (succinimidyl succinate) serves as a PEG-NHS reagent, with a C2 hydrocarbon ester bond between PEG and NHS ester. NHS, being a good leaving group, can react with amine-containing moieties.
4-arm PEG-SS is primarily employed in academic research, innovative drug development, disease research, peptide PEG derivative modification, nanomodification, and other biological research applications. It is used in studies related to monoclonal antibodies, polyclonal antibodies, proteins, and biological reagents, among other areas.
