The whole name of Lipase is tri acylglycerol acylhydrolase, the substrate is a kind of special ester – tri acylglycerol ester, which is usually long chain fatty acid ester. Lipase can completely hydrolyze the oils and fat into glycerol and fatty acids. The recombinant lipase A has stereo selectivity, it can be used for optical resolution of racemates to produce chiral drugs or chiral intermediates.

Application:
It is used for biological catalysis method resolution of single enantiomer, such as non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which includes ketoprofen and naproxen, the substrate is 2- aryl propionic acid. It can be used for preparation of optical pure single enantiomers.
