Summary
The whole name of Lipase is tri acylglycerol acylhydrolase, the substrate is a kind of special ester – tri acylglycerol ester, which is usually long chain fatty acid ester. Lipase can completely hydrolyze the oils and fat into glycerol and fatty acids. The recombinant lipase A has stereo selectivity, it can be used for optical resolution of racemates to produce chiral drugs or chiral intermediates.
