Project Background
 
Growth stimulation expressed gene 2 (ST2), also known as interleukin 1 receptor-like 1 (IL1RL-1), belongs to the interleukin 1 receptor family. It is a protein in the heart that responds to disease or injury, specifically expressed by cardiac fibroblasts. This protein is directly involved in cardiac fibrosis or cardiac remodeling. The normal value is <35ng>35ng/ml indicates a deviation from normal, prompting further diagnosis by a physician based on clinical symptoms and additional test indicators.
 
ST2 serves as a pivotal indicator for assessing risk classification and prognosis in patients with acute and chronic heart failure. It reflects the degree of myocardial fibrosis, unaffected by factors such as age, gender, race, BMI, or renal function. ST2 is a singular threshold marker for heart failure, and its concentration correlates with the severity of the condition. It aids in observing the efficacy of antimicrobial therapy and myocardial fibrosis drugs in patients. The combined testing of ST2 and NT-proBNP enhances the prediction of cumulative risk in acute heart failure and improves the ability to predict death in heart failure patients.
 
"2017 American ACC/AHA/HFSA Heart Failure Management Guidelines" and the "Chinese Heart Failure Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines 2018" jointly recommend ST2 for risk stratification and prognosis assessment in heart failure patients. The "Chinese Expert Consensus on Heart Failure Biomarkers 2020" highlights the crucial auxiliary role of sST2 in diagnosing acute decompensated heart failure, boasting a high negative predictive value. It also serves as a reference for prognostic assessment in heart failure patients, with dynamic increases indicating a poor prognosis.

The clinical correlation coefficient (R2) between two sets of ST2 antibodies from the Xibao Bioluminescence Platform and the reagent provided by Zhonghan Shengtai ST2 reagent (Fluorescence Immunochromatography) exceeded 0.95, indicating a strong correlation.
 
 
 
Fluorescence Immunochromatography (Lanthanide Eu Chelate Filling) Platform:
 
The clinical correlation coefficient (R2) for the two sets of ST2 antibody pairs from the Xibao Biofluorescence Platform and the reagent provided by Zhonghan Shengtai ST2 reagent (Fluorescence Immunochromatography) was >0.95, demonstrating a robust correlation.
